Artificial Intelligence Transparency
Last updated 2 August 2026
Aquariology.org is an independent editorial website devoted to the aquarium hobby. This page explains how I use artificial intelligence tools in producing its content and who is answerable for what is published. I publish it in fulfilment of Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, which applies from 2 August 2026.
Editorial responsibility
Editorial responsibility for aquariology.org is mine, Francesco Avezzano, a journalist registered with the Order of Journalists of Campania under registration number 161332. Every piece of content passes through my review before publication. I approve, amend or reject texts on their merits, and I answer for what I publish.
How I use artificial intelligence
I use generative artificial intelligence tools in producing content, including in drafting the texts. No content is published automatically. Every draft undergoes substantive editorial review before publication, and no automated process intervenes after that review.
Human review
Before publication every text is examined on its merits. That review covers the accuracy of the information, verification of the reliability of the sources cited, confirmation of the scientific nomenclature and an assessment of the technical coherence of the content. No chemical parameter, dosage, scientific name or bibliographic reference enters a published text without my having verified it against primary sources, scientific literature, manufacturers’ technical documentation or direct experience with the tank. Correcting spelling or grammar alone does not constitute editorial review.
Images
From 2 August 2026, images generated or altered with artificial intelligence tools carry the caption “image generated with artificial intelligence”. Articles published before that date are being reviewed progressively, and their images are labelled as the review advances. Photographs and footage taken by me or by third parties are identified as such.
Reporting an issue
If you believe a piece of content contains an error, or that the disclosure about the use of artificial intelligence is incomplete or missing, you can write to me at info@aquariumclick.it. I correct it and I account for the correction.
